“Best Of You nail salon is horribly unprofessional and overcharged me like crazy. I came in on a Friday afternoon around 5pm (10/4/26) wanting to get my previous gel nails removed, my toenails cleaned and checked for any in-growns. Two nail technicians had attended to me. The one doing my toes was unprofessional. Even though she had caused my toe to start bleeding, she said nothing until I looked up from my phone and saw my toe bleeding profusely on a towel. Not even a sorry or even an acknowledgment of what was done to me was told. Absolutely horrible. As for my fingernails, I had to repeatedly tell the nail tech that the gel hadn’t been completely removed and for her to repeatedly remove it until it’s gone. The lack of transparency when hurting clients and the improper work should have been my sign to leave but the nail salon I usually went to had closed down. The most ridiculous thing of this entire affair was that I was charged $48 for this entire service. $48 for a toenail cleaning (i had no ingrowns) and removal of gel nails. It’s honestly on me for not checking prices around and also having blind faith in the nail technicians. I understand that business is tough and that rent is hard to come by. However, it is no excuse for poor service and exorbitant pricing. Support this business at your own risk. Edit: I appreciate the salon’s response but I would like to clarify that I did not request a manicure or pedicure nor was it clearly communicated to me that the services performed would be charged as such(assuming a manicure + pedicure at $40 would be with colour) The actual services I received were limited to toenail trimming, gelish removal for my fingernails, and a sea salt treatment. As such, I find it difficult to understand how these limited services were likely priced under a full manicure and pedicure package. My concern is not just the cost but the lack of clear communication and consent regarding the services provided. Please do better!”
