“Had such a wonderful experience at Skinscape Clinic, Asia Square. I went for their Signature Medi-Facial, and it was a beautifully curated 90-minute treatment. The facial included hydradermabrasion, extraction, electroporation with a customised serum, LED light therapy and a customised mask. I loved that it felt genuinely medical-grade while still being incredibly relaxing and comfortable. The entire experience was professional and well thought out, from the consultation to the treatment itself. My skin felt noticeably cleaner, smoother, fresher and more hydrated afterwards, and I especially appreciated the thorough extraction without the treatment feeling harsh. The team was attentive, knowledgeable and made the whole experience feel personalised to my skin. At S$275, it is definitely an investment, but honestly, I felt it was worth every penny. “I accompanied a friend to her Botox appointment, and during the consultation she casually asked the doctor if he thought I would benefit from Botox as well. The doctor (he), asked me to clench my jaw, briefly pressed on the side of my jaw, and said that I could consider Botox if I wanted to. That was the extent of the interaction. After my friend’s treatment, we left, and I later received a message from Skinscape requesting payment for a “consultation.” I was surprised, as I had never requested or consented to a consultation, nor was I informed that the brief assessment would incur a charge. In my view, a quick touch of the jaw and a one-sentence opinion should not automatically be treated as a billable consultation without first making the patient aware. Had I known there would be a fee, I would have declined. If you’re accompanying a friend or family member to an appointment, I’d recommend clarifying the clinic’s policy beforehand and avoiding any assessment unless you’ve agreed to a consultation and any associated charges.”
