“I would like to share my experience as two emails I previously sent to contact@slclinic.com.sg have gone unanswered. A few weeks ago, I consulted Jiahui regarding my sunspots. I initially asked about Stellar M22, but after assessing my skin, she explained that I have both melasma and sunspots and that Pico Laser would be more suitable. I understood that I would first need to see a doctor before proceeding. When making the appointment, I specifically asked whether there was a Pico Laser trial. Jiahui initially said there was not, but Joyce interrupted and said there was. She asked whether I wanted to do it together with a facial and quoted $314 for the facial package with Stellar M22. I naturally understood that the Pico Laser trial would be included. I specifically asked Joyce whether Pico Laser could be done together with Stellar M22, and she assured me that it could, explaining that many clients undergo both treatments for different skin concerns. Joyce then instructed me to report to Level 4 for the facial before seeing the doctor. When I questioned this, as I thought the doctor should first assess my suitability for Pico Laser, she said the facial would still be beneficial even if the doctor later decided I could not proceed with Pico Laser. This further reinforced my understanding that the Pico Laser trial was part of my appointment. However, when I contacted the salon the day before my appointment to clarify the treatments, I discovered that I had actually paid for a Stellar M22 facial with no Pico Laser trial included. Joyce subsequently said she had misunderstood me and thought I wanted a Stellar M22 trial instead. She also said the booking could not be amended because the clinic and facial departments have separate billing systems. I remain convinced that I clearly requested the Pico Laser trial and was led to believe that it was included. Several aspects of the interaction contributed to this misunderstanding, particularly Joyce's assurances and her response when I questioned the order of the treatments. I was also only given a credit card payment slip rather than an official receipt clearly stating what I had purchased. I appreciate that this ultimately comes down to my word against Joyce's. Nevertheless, I am very clear about what was discussed and find the way this transaction was handled lacking in transparency. I am also disappointed that Jiahui, who was present when Joyce contradicted her about the Pico Laser trial, did not clarify the misunderstanding. I was fully prepared to pay the full price for subsequent Pico Laser treatments because I genuinely wanted to address my skin concerns appropriately. There was no reason for me to intentionally book a Stellar M22 facial instead. As a customer, I expect clear and honest communication when making decisions about aesthetic treatments. Instead, I left feeling that I had been misled and taken advantage of. This experience has unfortunately caused me to lose confidence in SL Aesthetics, and I will not be returning. I hope management will investigate the matter and take steps to ensure customers receive clear, accurate and transparent information before making payment.”
