“I visited this salon on 26 June for a pedicure, expecting it to last a reasonable amount of time. Unfortunately, by 1 July—just five days later—the nail polish on two of my toenails had already peeled off completely. I’ve had many pedicures at other salons over the years and have never experienced polish peeling this quickly under normal daily activities. I took proper care of my feet after the appointment, with no swimming, excessive exercise, or unusual activities that would explain the premature peeling. For a professional pedicure, I believe it is reasonable to expect the polish to last significantly longer than five days. What disappointed me even more was the way my complaint was handled. The salon initially offered a complimentary touch-up and a $5 voucher. As I no longer wished to return after this experience, I requested an alternative form of compensation. Instead, I was offered only a $2 deduction, on the basis that only two toenails had peeled. I found this disappointing because the issue wasn’t the value of the nail polish on two toes—it was the overall quality and durability of the service. Since I no longer had confidence in returning to the salon, I had to engage another manicurist at my own expense to have the pedicure redone. Although I ultimately made the full payment to resolve the matter, I was disappointed that the salon focused on recovering the outstanding balance rather than finding a fair resolution to a genuine quality issue. Every business may occasionally have service issues. What matters is how those issues are resolved. Unfortunately, based on both the quality of the pedicure and the handling of my complaint, I cannot recommend this salon and will not be returning. Update: Unfortunately, the situation has become even more disappointing. Since posting my review, one of my nail extensions has completely detached, and the decorative sticker/design on another nail has also come off. This further reinforces my concerns about the durability and quality of the workmanship. I paid for professional nail services with the reasonable expectation that both my pedicure and manicure would last. Instead, within a very short period, I experienced peeling toenail polish, a detached nail extension, and nail art coming off. These are not issues I have encountered with other salons under normal daily activities. Despite raising my concerns promptly, we were unable to reach what I felt was a fair resolution. I ultimately made the full payment in good faith, but I remain disappointed by both the quality of the services provided and the way my complaint was handled. I am sharing this update so that future customers have a complete picture of my experience.”
