“Unfortunately, my first experience at J Lashes was very disappointing and fell short of what I expected from a professional lash salon. I was attended to by Jenny N., who did not introduce herself, so I’m not sure if she was actually Jenny? As a first-time customer, I expected some guidance on the different lash styles, but when I asked for recommendations, I was simply told to look on Instagram. When I explained that my phone wasn’t with me (therapist left it charging at the reception) an iPad was eventually provided. I was deciding between Fluffy and Sunflower and said I was open to Fluffy, only to be told that I had to choose Jade due to insufficient time. If only Jade was available, I’m not sure why I was asked to choose a style in the first place. There was also confusion over the complimentary LED upgrade, which was initially not provided. She was beginning to glue my lashes on and when I asked about LED, she went “ oh you want LED?” - like it’s not supposed to be included. During the application, the treatment was quite rough, with my eyelids being pinched several times, and I experienced some stinging in my eye towards the end. The overall service also felt very rushed. After completing my lashes, I was simply handed a mirror, told the therapist my lashes were slightly off, she brushed it and walked away to the reception. Most importantly, quite disappointed with the result. I had my lashes done only this afternoon, and within a few hours they are already looking messy and some are beginning to appear crooked. Can’t imagine how they’ll be like after a week. For a first-time customer, I expected much better consultation, care and attention to detail. I hope management will look into this and address my concerns appropriately. Definitely won’t be recommending this salon to anyone else.”
