“I visited the salon in early July for a perm. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but unfortunately I was very disappointed with my experience. First, I want to be fair and mention the positives. The stylist did a great job trimming my bangs—I really liked the result. The staff also explained beforehand that the lower part of my hair, which had previously been bleached and permed, might not hold curls well. I understood and accepted this. I only asked for the healthy new hair on the upper part of my head to be permed into small curls. However, after the first perm, there was almost no curl at all. The salon redid the perm on the same day, but unfortunately the result only lasted about two weeks. Now there is almost no curl left. What disappointed me even more is that my healthy new hair, which was smooth before the appointment, has become noticeably dry and frizzy after the perm. Another thing that made me uncomfortable happened during the appointment. After I politely explained that I wasn’t happy with the first result, I saw, through the reflection in the mirror, a staff member wearing a pink top roll her eyes behind my back. 🙄She may not have realised I could see her, but it made me feel unwelcome and embarrassed as a customer. I paid around SGD 350 for this service, and I don’t believe the result reflects the price. Before leaving this review, I contacted the salon privately to give them an opportunity to resolve the issue, but I have not received any response.”

Instead of pushing an expensive treatment, Vinx genuinely guided me on what would work best and even advised waiting a month for better results. She then gave me a haircut that somehow completely transformed my hair. I don’t know how she did it, but she fixed the shape and made it look much more manageable and pleasant. I am a male with slightly wavy hair, showed them some korean reference pictures and Ailee delivered, shows that a good haircut can make daily styling much more easier. “I’m quite particular about my hair, so finding the right stylist hasn’t been easy—but Elise at Air Salon is truly exceptional. I prefer purely scissor work (no clippers), which really comes down to skill, and Elise absolutely delivers. I also struggle to clearly explain what I want, especially since I was going for a very different, short style where there’s basically zero room for error. She understood exactly what I needed and executed it flawlessly. I have wavy hair, which can be tricky, but Elise is the only stylist I’ve found who gets it *perfect* every time. What really sets her apart is that she cuts in a way that makes my hair look like it’s already grown out for two weeks—natural, soft, and effortless. That’s much harder than a straight, fresh cut, and she nailed it. It’s now been three weeks, and the cut still looks amazing. I’ve been going to Elise for over a year, and I keep coming back because I feel completely safe in her hands. If you’re looking for someone you can trust—especially with a precise or challenging style—I can’t recommend her enough. Just excellent.”
