“Extremely poor experience with Nicholas Ten at Kimage Toa Payoh. This was my first time coloring my virgin hair, and the service was dismissive and rushed from start to finish. Despite discussing references beforehand (where he said no bleach was needed), he gave no walk-through of the process on the day itself. The reference photo shown was one of his calico work done on another client. When I asked for style advice regarding bangs, he repeatedly told me my ideas "wouldn't suit" my hair structure, but didn't offer any helpful recommendations. Instead of the wispy bangs and soft brown/pink tones requested (shown in the reference photo), he gave me curtain bangs and a harsh, blocky, brassy bleach job with unblended orange and stark red patches (shown in second photo). He also made multiple passive-aggressive comments about my hair during prep. The lack of consultation, poor execution, and unwelcoming attitude made for a terrible first-time coloring experience.”

He executed a complex 14-section color map with a zigzag sectioning at the top to ensure a seamless, low-maintenance grow-out for my calico styled hair.
