“$40 spent for wash, blow and style curl. The most stressful experience in a salon I have EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. Go at your own risk. They will keep pushing for sales and packages even when you reject. There is no peace at all. Thought I can enjoy a relax environment nice hair wash but unfortunately no. I understand the hair stylists need sales but not until this stage where you push and push 10 times until I feel damn repelled to even step in the salon anymore. (Mostly is an elder China lady kept pushing) I even mentioned in Chinese I feel uncomfortable, but they still proceed to push for packages lol. Showed picture of romantic curl and the guy stylist was quite nice saying he will try to do like the picture , however doing halfway they spoke to each other saying the curling iron is laoya (useless one) and the curls didn’t turn out like the picture but it’s ok he tried at least. I’m not even upset about the curls, more about the unprofessional display of desperate sales pushing. Perhaps it was my own bad luck for being served by an extremely desperate stylist as there are many good reviews about this salon. But once is enough and never, ever again. 🤷🏻♀️ First time leaving a salon feeling SO frustrated and uncomfortable. Edit: They don’t bother to even reply and even blocked me on whatsapp after this review. 😂 How ethical. 👍”

“I recently had the pleasure of getting my hair done by Raymond, and I can't say enough good things about the experience! His service was outstanding and incredibly attentive. Raymond have a deep knowledge of hair care and took the time to recommend the best haircut and scalp treatments tailored to my specific needs. His professional advice really made a difference, and I left feeling not only stylish but also well-informed about how to care for my hair and scalp. If you're in search of a skilled and thoughtful hairstylist, I highly recommend Raymond! You won't be disappointed!”

“Went to Loyang Point, for hair colouring advice, thus Number 9 Hair Salon stood out. Went in, and the hairstylist named Man gave fantastic advice, and was then fully convinced to follow thru with the hair colouring. Looks fantastic after it was done! Thank you Man for the time today. Looking forward to my next visit, definitely.”

“I was attended by Nisah. Had a scan of my scalp before and after. There was a lot of difference. The itch that I was experiencing immediately disappeared after the session. Recommended! Update: After visiting the salon three times, I felt compelled to update my review. I spent some time deciding whether or not to share my experience, but I don’t want others to go through what I did. TL;DR: I went to the salon at 414 Yishun. The scalp treatment was good, but the constant upselling and pressure to spend more led me to abandon my $3K package. Not recommended if you want a relaxing, hassle-free experience. When I first visited, they were very friendly, offering free extra services and their base prices were cheaper than most salons. However, every visit, they pressured me to add on more services while insisting it wasn’t hard selling. I initially purchased the package for peace of mind, not wanting to worry about paying each time I came in. The treatment worked well, and my scalp felt very clean, which is why I signed up. I paid $2.8K, and after stepping outside, they pressured me into spending more with promises of more freebies, bumping my package to $3K. At the time, I thought, "why not, it covers me for a year." But I was immediately asked to leave a review for a $10 voucher, which I couldn’t even use on a basic haircut. I felt misled. I specifically went there because they offered a private room for Muslimah, which is important since we can't show our hair to males. However, on my second visit, the female hairstylist was occupied with another customer. I didn’t mind waiting, but the male hairstylist kept asking if he could do my hair. I kept saying no, but he persistently asked again. I was really surprised and annoyed—I'm wearing a hijab, why is this even a question? Is the private room just for show? During my third visit, they recommended a new treatment that would increase my treatment cost by $80. I agreed, just to get it over with. However, I soon realized they planned to sell me this new treatment every visit. The bottle was priced at $45, but I could find it outside for $30+. It became clear that they were more interested in upselling than providing a relaxing experience. If you're like me and prefer to pay for a package and relax without worrying about money during each visit, this might not be the place for you. Every time I sat down to relax, they’d ask if I wanted additional services like a manicure or other treatments, which felt like they were constantly pushing me to spend more. If you don't mind spending extra every visit, then go ahead. My scalp felt good after the first visit, but the constant pressure and frustration led me to forgo the remainder of my $2K+ package.”
