“I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this experience was upsetting enough that I feel people should know what happened. I spent $340+ here for a balayage and left crying. My hair was already something I cared about, so I trusted the salon when they recommended additional treatments. I paid $50 for bond repair to be mixed with the bleach because I was told it would help prevent damage. The whole bottle of the product costs around $16~20 (scam). I still agreed to it because I assumed the salon knew what was best for my hair. My hair is now falling apart. I also paid another $50 for face framing with Jess. She didn’t appear to know how to properly perform the technique. I genuinely would have preferred her to tell me she didn’t know how rather than take the $50 and do it poorly. After bleaching my hair, they didn’t even use heat protectant before drying it. The drying itself wasn’t done well. The balayage technique overall was poor, and I was left wondering why I had paid so much for a result that made my hair look and feel worse. What frustrated me further was the amount of additional services being charged separately — things I believe should already be included in a professional balayage rather than being used as add-ons to increase the bill. I came to Singapore to enjoy myself. Instead, I spent $340+, ended up with severely damaged hair, and had all of my days completely ruined. Please look at the photos. The first after photos were taken immediately after I left the salon, in the shopping center bathroom. That was how I walked out of the salon.”

“Really happy with my hair makeover by Desmond at Twilight! I first came to Twilight for a perm and treatment, and this time I decided to try something completely different after having black hair for 10 years. Since my hair had been previously treated, our priority was always to work within what my hair could handle. I went for fine milk tea-toned highlights, really appreciated that he worked with the colour/style I had in mind while also giving his professional input to make the roots easier to upkeep. He also gave advice on how to maintain the colour afterwards, which was helpful. The whole makeover took around 5.5 hours. Really happy with how it turned out 🤎”

“My second time doing balayage with Desmond in 2 years — that’s how long it can last because of his skills! My third time at Twilight Studio over the years :) It was a busy day for him & the team, it was all hands on deck but none of the customers were neglected or forgotten by the team. Though I looked for Desmond, the entire team were just as involved in the process of my hair, which is very different from other salons & I really appreciated that. Desmond was juggling multiple customers but he still followed through with everyone, ensuring everything is alright. Service is top notch.”

“Extremely disappointing and unacceptable experience. I specifically booked a 3pm appointment with this Jess on her personal account because I had read her reviews and wanted her to do my hair. I arranged my schedule and made the trip down, only to be told AFTER I arrived that she had taken the day off and someone else would be doing my hair instead. Seriously? If a stylist is unavailable, isn’t it basic professionalism and courtesy to inform the customer BEFORE they make their way down? I was given absolutely no notice, no call and no message. They simply expected me to show up and accept a completely different stylist whom I did not book. My schedule is extremely difficult to arrange, which is exactly why I made an appointment in advance. Now I have wasted my time travelling here AND have to scramble to find another salon at the last minute, when most places may already be fully booked. Unexpected leave can happen. That is not the issue. The issue is the complete lack of communication and consideration for a customer’s time. If you cannot honour an appointment as booked, INFORM YOUR CUSTOMER BEFORE THEY ARRIVE. This is basic appointment management. Absolutely terrible experience and a complete waste of my time. I will not be returning and will not recommend to anyone. Will give no star if there is a choice!”
