“I had express gel nails done and was impressed by how fast the service was. Gel removal and a new express set took less than 45 minutes which was a pleasant surprise. The nail technician was very kind and patient, and she helped me choose colours that suited me. I also liked how thin the gel application was. As someone who gets gel nails regularly, I was initially surprised because it was much thinner than what I'm used to, but I ended up loving how lightweight and natural it felt almost like my own nails. That said, there were a few areas that could be improved. I requested a rectangular nail shape, but my nails ended up more oval, and the shape wasn't consistent across all the fingers. The biggest issue was durability. By the third day, two of my gel nails had already broken off, which was disappointing as I would normally expect a gel manicure to last much longer. Overall, the experience had its positives, I suppose the results are somewhat reflective of the price point, but it will be nice to have the durability and consistency improved.”

“I’ve been going to Homenails at Orchard Gateway for a while now, and it’s truly my go-to nail salon. I trust them completely with my nails every visit feels like opening a blind box in the best way possible. I usually just share a theme I like and leave the rest to my nail artist, and they never disappoint. The designs always turn out better than I imagined. The salon itself has such a cozy, homely vibe that makes every visit relaxing and enjoyable. What really stands out is how long-lasting their work is. I don’t come back because my nails are damaged. I come back simply because I’m ready for a fresh new design. I also really appreciate the little thoughtful touches, like the light snacks and drinks they offer, as well as the phone charging service. It makes the whole experience even more comfortable. While it’s not the cheapest option out there, the quality and durability make it absolutely worth it. I’d much rather invest in nails that last and look great, especially for important occasions. Highly recommend! (This review is written 2.5 weeks after my appointment, and my nails are still looking fresh with no chips!)”
