“Disappointed by my experience at Nails Addiction Kovan, specifically around pricing transparency and what felt like an attempt to overcharge. I was quoted $32 for a classic manicure, with an optional $20 add-on for colour. I was in a rush and told the manicurist upfront that I didn't want the colour. Simple enough. At checkout, I was charged $52. When I questioned it, she told me quite vaguely that the price is $52 regardless of whether colour is applied or not. That directly contradicted what I was told at the start. I pushed back, she backed down, and I paid the original $32. What made this worse: earlier in the appointment she asked whether I regularly visit nail salons. When I said no, I couldn't help but feel in hindsight that the $52 charge was a test of whether I'd notice or push back. For a basic classic manicure (remove old polish, buff, and clip), $52 is unreasonable. The service itself was fine, but the lack of pricing honesty is a real problem.”
