“I am documenting a severe injury sustained during a pedicure here. As the photo clearly shows, the technician caused a deep laceration on the pad of my big toe. The injury was so significant that it bled continuously for two hours, requiring an immediate trip to the A&E for medical treatment. The impact of this "accident" has been extensive: - Physical Pain: The wound is deep enough that even sleeping and showering are painful. - Logistical Disruption: I was forced to cancel classes and reschedule multiple professional meetings, incurring personal costs and significant inconvenience. - Recovery: For an entire week, I have been unable to exercise or walk properly. While the manager did buy me slippers/bandages at the time and the salon eventually paid the A&E bill, their responsibility shouldn't end there. Covering a medical bill is the absolute baseline when you cause a physical trauma that requires hospital intervention. Management has since been avoidant regarding any conversation about compensation for the pain, suffering, and professional disruption caused. A pedicure should not result in a week of disability and a hospital record. If you value your safety and health, please be aware that the risks here are very real and the post-incident accountability is lacking. Update: TNS agreed to pay for all medical bills. However, they stopped responding after awhile and did not pay for the 2nd follow up check up that the doctor requested for.”
